Classification of Hallux Valgus Using Conjugated Deformity

چکیده
Hallux valgus is a complex deformity of the forefoot. It result multiple effects endogenous and exogenous etiological factors with different degrees influence. The degree hallux was assessed by radiological values (HVA) intermetatarsal (IMA) angle. Thus, each corresponds to pair (HVA, IMA) angle in plane deformity. intensity point position vector S deformation determined relation represents absolute (conjugate) value power deformities. goal article explain advantage definition using its value, then show that defined this way enables better classification deformities for all HVA IMA angles. Furthermore, article, applying conjugate deformity, analytical expressions were constructed assessment average correction after operative treatment, as well error treatment. All obtained results checked on sample 396 operatively treated feet.

Treatment of hallux valgus deformity
Hallux valgus deformity is a very common pathological condition which commonly produces painful disability. It is characterised as a combined deformity with a malpositioning of the first metatarsophalangeal joint caused by a lateral deviation of the great toe and a medial deviation of the first metatarsal bone.Taking the patient's history and a thorough physical examination are important steps....
متن کاملScarf Osteotomy for Correction of Hallux Valgus Deformity
Objective: Presentation of clinical and radiological outcome of a case series of scarf osteotomy. Patients and Methods: The study involved 20 patients with 24 feet affected with symptomatic moderate to severe hallux valgus. Clinical assessment was done using American Orthopedic Foot and Ankle Society (AOFAS) score. Radiological assessment utilized measurement of hallux valgus angle (HVA), inter...
متن کاملRadiographic validation of the Manchester scale for the classification of hallux valgus deformity.
OBJECTIVES Hallux valgus is a common orthopaedic condition affecting elderly people. Grading the severity of the condition commonly involves obtaining measurements from radiographs, which may not be feasible or necessary in some clinical or research settings. Recently, a non-invasive clinical assessment tool (the Manchester scale), consisting of four standardized photographs, has been developed...
متن کاملModified Wilson’s Osteotomy for Hallux Valgus Deformity. A New Approach
We introduce a new set of modifications and present the results from 48 patients (a total of 60 feet operated), who underwent this modified Wilson's osteotomy for the correction of Hallux Valgus. Patients were of an average age of 52 years old (from 21 to 75 years of age) and were followed up for a mean of 12 months post-operatively. Patient evaluation was made with the symptom scoring system a...
متن کاملA Physiological Soft Tissue Procedure for Hallux Valgus Deformity Correction
Hallux valgus is a soft tissue condition of normal bones deviating from their normal alignment due to failure of their stabilizing ligaments. Affected bones are victims rather than culprits. Osteotomy of normal bones to compensate a soft tissue problem can compromise biomechanics of the all-important first ray for function and complicate the matter. To patients, hallux valgus deformity is mainl...
